Elections 2024 – NDA Vs I.N.D.I.A

Indian elections results have been announced. This article on predicting the outcome was written  in September 2023.

Verdict : The predictions of our astrologer Rajiv Sethi proved to be inaccurate in number of seats predicted. The erudite astrologer had predicted 350+ seats for NDA but NDA did not cross even 300 mark.

All Exit polls predicted a clear majority for NDA just like this article did. Astrologer Rajiv Sethi took a celestial peep into who was likely to form the next government. While a drop in polling percentage was considered  troublesome more for BJP than the opposition front, the esteemed astrologer was always confident that the BJP+ parties will be in governance for next 5 years as well.

All of us who have an interest in Indian politics know what NDA or National Democratic Alliance stands for. It was formed in May 1998 as a group to contest the general elections. The main aim of the NDA was to form a group against Indian National Congress coalition.

I.N.D.I.A is the new bird in the Indian political skies. It is an acronym for I – Indian, N – National, D – Developmental, I – Inclusive, A – Alliance. If you try to pronounce the full form, it is a mouthful. If you look at the member parties it is twenty six. In short this is the grouping of political parties that have been worst hit by the rise of the BJP during past years.

The raison d’etre for I.N.D.I.A is to wrest power back from Narendra Modi and the NDA alliance. Let us assess the astrological chances of both alliances. The stage has been set really interesting as the opposition parties have come together to combat further rise of BJP and stall Narendra Modi’s continued march.

Narendra Modi Birth Chart

On the NDA side, the unchallenged king is Narendra Modi who has held the reins of power in Gujarat and at the center for a grand total of twenty years.

Narendra Modi Birth Chart

This is the chart of current Prime Minister of India – Narendra Modi

The Lagna is Vrishchik Rashi and the Lagna lord Mangal is placed in the Lagna itself making it very powerful.

In the Navamsa chart, Mangal is again placed in the Lagna though in its Neech Rashi. It must however be remembered that Mangal never becomes Neech as in Kark Rashi it is in Kendra from its Mool Trikon Rashi and Trikon from its other Rashi. As a commander in chief of the army of the Devatas he can never be defeated.

The second house represents the face, speaking ability, food, academic qualifications and ruling powers. Brihaspati becomes the lord of the second and the fifth houses but will primarily give the results of the second house. Brihaspati is placed in its Mool Trikon Rashi in Navamsa Kundali and so gives good results. He makes Narendra Modi a forceful speaker who straightaway connects to the common man. Since Brihaspati is a planet of Sattvic nature, the speech is always tinged with references to Sanatan Dharma and human values. Brihaspati blesses the tenth house of ultimate power and Surya who is the tenth lord.

Modi is here to stay. He might leave on his own but to defeat him in hustings one needs a really powerful chart which none of the 26 regional leaders of I.N.D.I.A have.

The fourth house stands for the common man on the street who casts his votes to bring a party to power. Any prediction about who will rule India must necessarily look very carefully at the fourth house.

Shani is the lord of the fourth house and placed in the eleventh house along with the exalted eleventh lord Mercury, the tenth lord Surya and Ketu. Ketu’s proximity is interesting because it enhances the good results of the planets it is placed with. Shani will give very solid support from the common man.

In Navamsa Kundali Shani is placed in his own Rashi with Budha and Surya and repeats the story of the Janma Kundali. There is however a flaw here Shani is ‘Ast’ and so the comforts of the third and fourth houses are missing from Narendra Modi’s life. He does not have very close relationship with his siblings and has led a life of an ascetic for most of his adult life.

One last thing to be remembered here is that Shani is the Karak or the significator for the common man or the voter in India and favorable Shani guarantees solid support of the masses.

The tenth house is the zenith of a chart and indicates how high a person will fly during his career.

The tenth house has Simha Rashi and its lord Surya is placed in the eleventh house with exalted Budha and makes a Budh-Aditya Yoga.

Let us look at the tenth house more closely. The Bhava itself gets a Bhava Bala 0f 669 units. The tenth lord Surya is powerful and gets Shad Bal of 140%.

The planet that occupies the tenth house is Shukra who is the seventh and tenth lord. Placement of Shukra here makes a person popular and highly influential.

In this Kundali the Lagna and the Chandra Kundali are identical. When this happens, the events in one’s life happen with twice the intensity as there is no modifying influence.

The Chandra becomes the lord of the ninth house and represents past life Punya, spirituality and good fortune. She represents divine help, sudden events of good or bad nature, religion, spirituality, and higher knowledge.

The Ninth house represents favors from the government. It also indicates wisdom, fortune, philosophy, and pilgrimage to holy places.

The Chandra also represents places of worship, righteousness, and kingdom. Anyone who has followed the career of Narendra Modi knows his extreme desire to uplift and rebuild ancient temples and make these easily accessible to the common man.

Chandra is placed with the Lagna lord Mangal and the combination of the Lagna and the ninth lords generates a powerful Raj Yoga. The energy of Mangal combined with the Budhhi of Chandra provides the impetus for the right actions. One might ask, why only the right actions? It is so as Chandra as the ninth lord represents spirituality and positive thinking. This combined with the razor-sharp intelligence of the Budh-Aditya Yoga forming in the eleventh house became the driving force of the now ended Chandra Mahadasha. Construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Kashi Vishwanath corridor and the uplift of Badri-Nath and Kedar-Nath temples were all initiated in the Chandra Maha Dasha.

How potent will the opposition be?

The opponents, competitors and openly declared enemies are seen from the sixth house.

The sixth house lord is Mangal who happens to be the Lagna Lord as well. Since Mangal is placed in the Lagna, it shows that the opponents will be center stage, highly aggressive and will not stop at anything to defeat and destroy him.

I am certain that all kinds of  tactics and tricks will be used against Narendra Modi but he will be able to defeat these. This will happen because Mangal and Chandra are placed together.

Dasha-Bhuktis running at the time of election results

Dasha-Bhuktis running at the time of election results are Mangal/Budha/Shani.

This is an excellent combination to win an election. Mangal is the Lagna lord placed in Lagna, Budha is the exalted lord of the house of gains placed in the house of gains and Shani is the fourth lord which is also placed in the eleventh house.

The fourth is also the house opposite to the tenth house and points to all the accoutrements of comfort in a lavish house.

If we apply this to the Dashamsha Chart of Narendra Modi, Mars is placed in the Kendra as the tenth lord. Mercury is placed in the eleventh house and Saturn is also placed in the eleventh house.

Summary

Summing up, the question is not who will win the elections but how big Narendra Modi’s margin of win will be. A conservative estimate indicates 350+ seats. The rest is in the hands of the almighty.
