The month of April 2026 brings a lot of strong planetary movements as well as spiritually and culturally important dates for people believing in Hindu or Sanatan way of life.
The month starts on an auspicious note with Chaitra Purnima starting very early morning on April 1 itself. The all potent, all benevolent Lord Hanuman’s birthday gets celebrated on April 2. It is a pleasant cosmic surprise that Mars also changes its sign on April 2 itself when it shifts to Pisces sign, owned by Jupiter.
Mars joins Saturn in Pisces and gets into a planetary war with Saturn and Mercury from April 19 to April 22.
Mercury gets debilitated in Pisces sign on April 11 but this leads to a planetary exchange between Jupiter and Mercury. Mercury moves out of its debilitation on April 29th.
Sun gets exalted in Aries on April 14 and the phenomenon known as Mesh Sankranti marks celebration of Solar New Year in many states like Punjab, Kashmir, Assam, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and even coastal Gujarat!
Venus moves to its own sign Taurus on April 19. Saturn rises from combustion on April 22.
