Praveen Lohani

Praveen Lohani is a seasoned internet entrepreneur and as co-founder of Astropatri, he brings over two decades of expertise at the intersection of modern technology and ancient wisdom. Previously having worked in leading Media and Internet organisations like Indiatmes, HT and Network 18, Praveen currently also leads creation of impactful tech solutions as the Founder of ITCombine, an IT Services firm serving both startups and established media houses.

Rooted in a family of Kumaoni Brahmins, Praveen Lohani carries forward a legacy of Vedic astrology with authenticity and purpose. His vision for Astropatri is clear: to simplify astrology, remove fear-based interpretations, and make it accessible, practical, and empowering for modern seekers. He believes astrology should be a tool for self-awareness, not superstition.

Prior to Astropatri, Praveen led Astrospeak – Indiatimes, taking over from his long-time friend and co-founder, Alok. Their friendship dates back to 1981, when they first met as students at Navayug School in New Delhi. Their shared values of honesty, spiritual integrity, and service to society underpin the foundation of Astropatri.

Together, Praveen and Alok are on a mission to restore the dignity and relevance of astrology in contemporary life. By blending tradition with technology, they aim to create a platform that not only offers authentic astrological guidance but also contributes to personal growth and well-being.
